Description: Ursolic acid (UA), a natural triterpene acid, is a promising anti-cancer drug due to its inhibitory effect on tumor growth and metastasis. However, clinical translation of UA is limited by its poor water solubility and low bioavailability. Tuftsin is a physiological natural immunomodulatory tetrapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), a small part of the immunoglobulin (Ig)G heavy-chain molecule produced by enzymatic cleavage in the spleen. Tuftsin has been shown to have anti-microbial, anti-viral and anti-0tumour functions mediated by enhancement of macrophagic activity.
