Product Name: Azelaic acid-GY
Synonyms: Azelaic acid-Gly-Tyr,
IUPAC Name: (2S,20S)-2,20-bis(4-hydroxybenzyl)-4,7,15,18-tetraoxo-3,6,16,19-tetraazahenicosanedioic acid,
Description: Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring saturated C9-dicarboxylic acid which has been shown to be effective in the treatment of comedonal acne and inflammatory acne, as well as hiperpigmentary skin disorders. Dipeptides of tyrosine are highly soluble, have been shown to be well used and safe in animal models and humans, and, therefore, may be used as an effective means of providing tyrosine in the parenterally fed neonate. The dipeptide glycyl-L-tyrosine (GY) can be either a substrate for carboxypeptidase A (CPA) or an inhibitor, depending on pH.
