Product Name: Resveratrol-Hexapeptide-11(Carbamate)
Synonyms: Resveratrol-FVAPFP, Resveratrol-Phe-Val-Ala-Pro-Phe-Pro,
Description: A non-flavonoid polyphenol, resveratrol (3,4′,5-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a phytoalexin that naturally occurs in many species of plants, including peanuts, grapes, pines, and berries, and assists in the response against pathogen infections. Resveratrol is an excellent scavenger of hydroxyls and superoxides, as well as radicals induced by metals/enzymes and generated by cells. It also protects against lipid peroxidation within cell membranes and damage to DNA resulting from ROS. Furthermore, resveratrol functions as an anti-mutagen, as shown by its inhibition of the mutagenicity of N-methyl-N’-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine in the Salmonella typhimurium strain TA100. Hexapeptide-11(FVAPFP) originally isolated from yeast extracts, conferred significant protection in fibroblasts against oxidative-stress-mediated premature cellular senescence, while at in vivo skin deformation assays in human subjects it improved skin elasticity. Hexapeptide-11 was found to induce the activity of extracellular MMPs and it also suppressed cell migration.
