Description: Octacosanol, a long-chain aliphatic alcohol, found abundantly in wheat germ oil or rice bran oil and in many other plants, presents a variety of important biological activities, including antioxidant and ergogenic properties and anti-parkinsonism. Furthermore, studies have shown that policosanol monotherapy reduces LDL-cholesterol and increases HDL-cholesterol.
