Product Name: Glu(Idebenone)-Spermine
IUPAC Name: 10-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-methyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl (S)-4-amino-5-((3-((4-((3-aminopropyl)amino)butyl)amino)propyl)amino)-5-oxopentanoate,
Description: Idebenone (2-(10-hydroxydecyl)-5,6-dimethoxy-3-methyl-cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione) is a synthetic analogue of ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10), a known physiological mitochondria’s membrane compound. Idebenone appears to act as a coenzyme Q10-like compound exhibiting similarly antioxidant and electron chain transport properties involved in the generation of ATP. Idebenone has been reported to improve energetic metabolism deficiencies and to relieve neurologic symptoms. Polyamines (spermidine, putrescine and spermine) are multifunctional polycationic aliphatic amines, which serve crucial roles in cell survival. Besides serving as nutrients and metabolic regulators, polyamines have been implicated as mediators of key cell functions, such as proliferation, migration and differentiation. Polyamines also stabilize DNA/RNA and modulate DNA replication/transcription, and stabilize membrane and cytoskeletal proteins.
