Product Name: 10-HAD-BRBR
Synonyms: 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid-Bip-Arg-Bip-Arg-NH2,
IUPAC Name: N-((6S,9S,12S,15S)-16-([1,1′-biphenyl]-4-yl)-9-([1,1′-biphenyl]-4-ylmethyl)-1-amino-6-carbamoyl-12-(3-guanidinopropyl)-1-imino-8,11,14-trioxo-2,7,10,13-tetraazahexadecan-15-yl)-10-hydroxydec-2-enamide,
Description: 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA), the unique component of royal jelly, had potent, dose-dependent inhibitory effects on the release of major inflammatory mediators and NO. Several key inflammatory genes, including IL-1β, IL-6, MCP-1 and COX-2 have also been suppressed by 10-HDA. Linear 4-residue peptide, BRBR-NH2, with potent bactericidal activity against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC 6.25 μM), the main causative pathogen of human skin infections, can be developed as a topical antibacterial agent for treating drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections.
